Accredited exercise physiologists (AEPs) are university qualified allied health professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies to design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for people with acute, sub-acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries or disabilities. Pathology domains covered by the services of AEPs include cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, musculoskeletal, cancers, kidney, respiratory / pulmonary and mental health, and any other conditions for which there is evidence that exercise can improve the client’s clinical status.

Our AEPs also conduct physiological assessments of the heart, lungs and muscles.

Ben brings a fresh and innovative approach to the AXM team. He has interests across a diverse range of areas, with his most passionate areas being cardiopulmonary management and rehabilitation and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Ben also has a keen interest in prescribing exercise as a preventative tool for both musculoskeletal injury and chronic disease.

Outside of work, Ben has a keen interest for his own health through playing football in Canberra’s local premier league and working out at the gym as much as he can.

Caelan prides himself on his dedication to his clients and strives to help them achieve their goals. As a member of the Australian Pain Society, he specialises in the management of chronic pain. Caelan has experience rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries and prescribing exercise as a management tool for chronic disease and neurological conditions.

In his free time, he enjoys staying active by going to the gym and walking his two dogs Maccy and Rubee.
