Accredited exercise physiologists (AEPs) are university qualified allied health professionals equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies to design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for people with acute, sub-acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries or disabilities. Pathology domains covered by the services of AEPs include cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, musculoskeletal, cancers, kidney, respiratory / pulmonary and mental health, and any other conditions for which there is evidence that exercise can improve the client’s clinical status.

Our AEPs also conduct physiological assessments of the heart, lungs and muscles.

Ben brings a fresh and innovative approach to the AXM Exercise Physiology team. He has interests across a diverse range of areas, with his most passionate areas being musculoskeletal and sports rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation and managing mental health through exercise.

Ben has a keen interest in prescribing exercise as a preventative tool for both musculoskeletal injury and chronic disease as well as helping people find the type of exercise and movement that best suits them.

Outside of work, Ben has a keen interest for his own health through playing football and futsal.

Caelan is an accredited exercise physiologist who is passionate about helping people access the benefits of exercise. Caelan understands that everyone’s exercise journey is different and by listening to you and your story, he is able to develop an exercise program or strategy that works for you.

Caelan’s passion falls across a broad range of conditions and disabilities. Over the years, Caelan has developed experience in persistent pain management and subsequently a particular interest in exercise and mental health.

Caelan enjoys helping people living with a variety of physical, psychoaffective and intellectual disabilities engage in meaningful exercise programs that improve quality of life.

Caelan is committed to making your exercise physiology experience tailored to you as a person, not just the injury, illness or disability you live with.
